In no order

Nels Cline: why? because he's a self taught guitarists who takes music in new directions that no one else does. not only that he continues to do so. not too mention his technical ability is amazing

Tommy Emmanuel: why? because he's the best guitarist when it comes to technical ability and no one pays attention to him

Les Paul: Why? Besides being very accomplished he invented the fucking electric guitar and the reverb. Where would any guitarist be without those too things that seem so basic now a days we take them for granted.

Tony Iommi: Why? becaus ehe invented a genre that led the way too all these "shredders" consider heros even though they all sound the same anyway

Billy Gibbons: Why? Not only is he an amazing archivalist. he did amazing work with pinch harmonics. Not to mention he invented tapping. he was also hendrix's favorite guitarist, thats got to count for something

My mom hung out with Joe Walsh a few times back in the day because her friend dated either a roadie or someone in the band. About six months ago my moms friend calls saying Joe invited her(my moms friend) to come hang out after the show and she asked if my mom wanted to come. Sadly my moms friend lives in Florida and my mom ouldn't afford a plane ticket. One of  my moms other friends wound up working for the Ramones. My mom knows too many cool people. She still has her woodstock tickets and they were never torn. She has her Hendrix and Skynyrd stubbs as well.
