Holy Jesus this is awesome. It combines the amazing power of AudioScrobbler with a custom mad online radio station.

http://www.last.fm/

I installed a plugin for iTunes which tracks what I listen to, and a little radio app that plays music based on what band I say I like or what music I've listened to previuosly. They have an entire community based around it with forums and all that shit. Pretty neat; or atleast a good way to find new music.

If you guys want in on this, we should start a Space Pirate group and commence with the bizzarre music.

Okay Dan I read your damn thread and downloaded your damn shit just to make you happy and feel important.  Is that better?

It's actually really cool.  I like it a lot more than winamp's shitty radio stations.  I always like it when I can listen to random music without having to do anything for it.

Being a Winamp Acolyte (I can make 2.x and 5 jump through flaming hoops and make buttered toast, and fully consider all other players inferior) I have to say, this is a damn neat thing, and a big improvement on Winamp's defualt streaming audio selection, it being strict with genre and all.

Still going, along with a few new SP members: David, Mits, and the merely registered Kell-o. Also, TheOfficer has one but I don't know what it is and she offered me some cunts, so we'll see I guess.

This was my music from the past week. Last.fm is kind of choppy about updating the weekly artists list, but meh, they're providing a free service that kicks ass, so I'm not going to complain.

You should be able to append it to iTunes or Winamp. Use of of those. Then listen to music.

Do you know if you can submit album covers? I ask because I hate seeing that hideous gray square that says "Image not available" in my "most played albums" collage.

Last.fm finally updated its user pages. What does everyone think? I think the new page is too flashy for its own good. I've found that the site moves a little bit slower with all the shiny collapseable menus and color-changing options. I also don't like this dashboard thing. I liked the older setup in which music and reading recommendations were right on your front page. However, it is pretty damn cool how it shows pictures of your top and recently listened to artists.

I pretty much concur. It looks nice, but if it makes the site slower, I don't want it.
