Anyway, Hopefully when my mini malfunctions again they'll replace it with the Nano, After all its the same price.
I don't see a real point in it though, It just takes the color feature away. Maybe they wanted the mini's to fit in with the regular ipod? Maybe the ipod was making fun of the minis. :(

What I don't get is why they're halving the capacity and charging the same price. I paid $170 for my Mini, and I was happy with it, four gigs is fine. But two is definately too small to spend that kind of cash.

I guess the smaller size is the comprimise, although it really wouldn't matter to me anyway.
My guess for the Mini replacement is that they want to start using more shockproof flashbased memory like they did in the shuffle. The amount of data they can store in flashbased iPods will eventually rise and the price will be justified. Or hard drives will get better and they'll go back to that.
