I dunno which way to go on this one, I wasn't paticularly impressed with Aeon Flux when I ran through it on a friends insistance that it was "The best animated US production ever" I thought the concept was good, but it was almost too arrogant for its own good, the show practically screamed "I'm hip and indie and you better fucking understand all my symbolism or go to hell" Here it seems a lot of the subtext is gone, which is what irritated me about the original series, but that could easily make it just another superninja movie with poor plot. Thoughts?

I saw a preview for this in theatres, and my reaction to it was "Christ that looks stupid."  First of all: Charlize Theron = not an action star.  I think you're second thought on it will probably be the most likely - another superninja movie with a poor plot.  It just looked bland and cliche in every way possible.  Even the visuals and costuming were just....too "futuristic" to be taken seriously.
