Heard about this on WRTI this morning on the way to work. Fuckin ridiculous shit. I can't believe they put the video with that article though. I'd rather not watch some poor woman get curb stomped by a fucking idiot redneck. Jesus.

I really, really hope she presses charges for assault, on the guy who held her down and the guy who stepped on her. This is simply unacceptable.

I'm really not looking forward to hearing Fox News' spin on this.  Likely though, they'll just not report it.

Yeah, I saw this got mainstream news attention.  The Washington Post reported on it today.  The reddit community seems to be pouring out support, though...a couple of posts following the news story were up-close pictures of the dude holding her down and the dude doing the stomping (I guess taken by bystanders), with calls to disperse the pictures and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Basically, internet to the rescue.

I have found that there really is nothing more that I hate right now than the tea party.  Their combination of uninformed, strong-arm decision-making with blind patriotism and empty nationalist rhetoric gets more and more despicable by the day.  And like Bryce said, sadly, Fox probably won't report on this, and whatever leadership of the tea party establishment there is (and Rand Paul himself, for that matter) are unlikely to comment either.

Yes...yes all those things. Ugh. What I don't understand is...I know there are Republicans out there who don't agree with the Tea Partiers. Where are they? Why aren't they standing up for sane and rational decision making, instead of letting these nut jobs run a muck with their party and its values? Why are the sane people always the silent (or at least much more quiet) majority?
