The new supergroup: a trio consisting of Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones. The music is awesome, you can listen to the tracks for free on their site:

It's good. Pretty good. Hard rockin', no doubt. But I hate to say that I wasn't overly impressed...it felt like a Queens of the Stone Age album with only slightly less weird melodies. I guess I should've expected something like that. JPJ's basslines rock and Dave Grohl is the best part of the album (the rhythms...my god, the rhythms...), but I don't see this getting many more listens from me.

Sounds interesting. Kinda wish JPJ would do something more substantial but this'll do. I liked his solo albums. Especially The Thunderthief.

I had high hopes, but this kind of let me down.
