Stupid tagline aside, this movie was my fuckin' jam when I was growing up. I think my dad and I seriously watched it every weekend.

I absolutely can not WAIT for it to come out, especially since Sam Worthington was the major redeeming quality in T4. Not to mention Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes are rocking godly powers. The first official trailer has been released, THIS MOVIE IS A MOTHERFUCKIN' PARTY.

No Bubo, that I can see, but I suppose I'll live:

Honestly? Not sure how I feel about that. Clash of the Titans is an extremely fond memory from my childhood, one that I love to revisit and bask in its never-ending glory or awesome, but this sort of looks....lame.

(I don't mean this to sound like a diatribe but I guess it does)

Everything you ever loved in your life will be repackaged and sold to you again by people who hope to use your childhood to memories to make money.

That said, I think this movie looks pretty neat visually.

My office got in a bit of a debate over this earlier. I could easily see myself being horribly depressed over them even touching Clash of the Titans, simply because it is such a vivid part of my childhood memory. But I agree that everything is going to remade at some point or another, its easy money.

I'm just happy they seem to be doing some new shit with this movie and that they actually got a cast that could back it. I'm a total sucker for the 300 marketing scheme they seem to be employing too. They're never going to be able to match the creepy wonderfulness of Ray Harryhausen that made the first one so fantastic, but the creatures we've caught glimpses of are making me pretty excited.

See I don't think it even looks neat visually. I think it looks like 300 or...I don't know, Troy. I'm not against remakes, per se, it would just be neat to see them done with some ingenuity, or some vision. I mean, you're dealing with Clash of the Titans here. There is some awesome material there to work with. And that's the best they can come up with? I'm disappointed.

It kind of looks like they went with the new sort of epic green-screen movie standard.

Ella Enchanted the book was badass. I remember she turns the prince's marriage proposal down at one point. I never saw the movie.

The movie was pretty super lame. I've never even read the book, though. Anne Hathaway was pretty awful in it, though, which is sad for Anne Hathaway because she is awesome.

See I don't think it even looks neat visually.

I should explain: I have always wanted to see a man fight a giant scorpion.
