Don't get me wrong, I love all of them (except Kelly, although the fact I hate her makes me love her) but Dwight always shifts the overly dramatic stuff to humor and vice versa. He has very little allegiance, making him a writer wild card. Without Dwight, the show would be played out by now. IMHO

Does anyone else really hate Andy?  I was so excited when he left the show for a while.  I hoped they had written him off, but nope!  He's back, and still not funny.  On that note, I've never even found Michael to be very funny.

As for favorites, I'm a big fan of Stanley and Creed.  And Dwight, of course.

One of the best things about the show is that it is written VERY well. The characters all have a distinct voice, but there is such a wide range of characters any writer can write pretty much any joke they want. For example, if I wanted to write something that is confused and funny, Michael. Somebody with no social grace, Dwight. A pop culture gag, Kelly/Michael. A sad gag, Toby (though this may switch). Anyway, you see what I mean.

I was watching some kind of previous season recap episode, and even all butchered and cut up and summarized, it was STILL hilarious. God I love this show.

Normally I hate Andy, but that one thing he said to Angela about he would marry her anywhere he didn't care where just so long as they got married was really sweet and made me all  unsmith
