Google's new web browser apparently launches today. But I can't seem to find the Beta anywhere. If someone knows where it is please post it.

Normally I'm a pretty big advocate against Google. They violate privacy laws, treat it's users like children, and lets face it: nobody likes a dynasty. That being said, Google Chrome looks really awesome (and that kills me). At least the booger is open source so maybe we can have Mozilla and other browser people picking up on their new code.

To add to my love/rage of this project. They annouced and described the project through a free comic book online (which I love) written and drawn by Scott McCloud (whom I loathe).

I'm not sure how I feel about a multithreaded browser, but I'm excited to give it a try.

I feel GREAT about a multi thread browser. Browsers aren't really used as browsers anymore, they are pretty much GUI's used to run programs off the internet.

So what's the deal with Chrome?  Is there any real reason to switch?

Well it's in beta right now, so unless you want to actually find bugs, wait until it gets closer to final.

Chrome is important because it's one giant leap towards the Internet based operating system. If you have ever used Google Docs or Meebo, you have experienced what Chrome is being built for. I can go into more detail but here's a list of its features:

Alright, so I downloaded Chrome because Firefox has been crashing on me like crazy, and I like it so far.  Although, one of my favorite things about firefox was that I had like ten search engines up in the right hand corner, and I can't seem to figure out if/how I can do that with Chrome.  Has anyone else tried Chrome?  Any thoughts?

Edit: So, I figured out how to add search engines.  Not quite as user-friendly as Firefox, but I think I can get used to it.
