Dune.

yep, THATS RIGHT, they're going to try to make a Dune movie again. David Lynch's was good as far as production design goes, even if it did not follow the story to the dot, and the series was badly acted, directed and whatever because it was sci-fi channel and they were broke or something. Whatever, the only bright side to the series was that it followed the books a lot more closely.

I was waiting, hoping, that someone of decent ability and motivation would take up the challenge, like Jim Cameron, or Ridley Scott or something. but NOPE, its 'peer berg' who's only notable film in my opinion is "Hancock" which I havent seen and am only attracted to because of the concept.  Haven't seen 'The Kingdom'

who made this god-awful decision I? was it the same asshole who decided it was necessary to remake Rosemary's Baby??

Well, if it makes you feel any better, it looks like the screenwriter has only written one other movie. Smiley

   1. Villain (2010/I) (in production) (screenplay)

Actually, they spent $20 Million on the miniseries. So.... good investment for them Roll Eyes

At least it had William Hurt.

Yes but had I seen Jeff Bridges as Duke Leto, all I would have been able to think about was how he was very unDude in that role. I mean, I thought the same thing in Iron Man. Obediah Stone was being VERY unDude.
