Agh, you're right. That'd be a lame super power regardless. And Kirkman does not DO lame super powers (See: Tether Tyrant).

Yuck, that would make Invincible Archie. And Rex Splode... Jughead?

No, I think Rex Splode would be Reggie. Actually, Kirkman kills some of his characters off in particularly brutal fashion (Dupli-Kate as an example). And Invincible repeatedly gets his ass handed to him in the form of painful, bloody beat downs. Which is strange because the series itself is so light-hearted, I think.

You're a little behind in the plot so I won't spoil things for you.

But catch up soon man, I wanna geek out about Invincible more!

Yeah, I recently put a buying hold on comics until my finances are a little more secure so I haven't been, you know, keeping up.

One villain who should be on my list who no one will ever have heard of besides possibly you is Tao from the Wildstorm universe. He was the biggest, scariest, most evilest villain in Sleeper, which is a fantastically awesome comic book series. The way Tao is defeated (well, sort of) remains one of my favorite moments in the vast array of comicdom. I remember reading it and saying something along the lines of "Hot Damn!"

I've steered clear of the Wildstorm Universe, but I have been wanting to read Sleeper. I think it's still be considered to be turned into a movie.

As for more villain-ry, I really enjoy the ambiguous evil of Kira from Death Note.

I actually don't know that much about Death Note. But I would seriously recommend Sleeper as a very well-done book.
