I know this is probably just me, Elmo and Ethan but I figured, with the rash of recent antagonist threads, I should do it.
1. The Joker - Batman 2. M - The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 3. Ozymandius - Watchmen 4. Lono - 100 Bullets 5. Herman von Klempt - Hellboy

No real order: Lex Luthor - Superman Dongs - Y: The Last Man Yagyū Retsudō - Lone Wolf and Cub Zoom - The Flash (Geoff Johns made The Rogues rule) Omni-Man - Invincible (That's a huge spoiler but people should still read Invincible since it is the best super hero comic still being written )

Damn! How did I overlook that scheming serpent, Retsudo? He is one of my most hated villains.
Likewise, fuck everyone who doesn't know about Invincible.

Invincible taught me that anyone with a mustache is an alien possessing power unheard of on Earth or any neighboring worlds.

Oh shit man, and there was that old wise man with a beard helping out Allen the Alien and Allen's all "how do you know so much about the evil mustachioed aliens?" and the old man pulls off half of a fake beard leaving his muschach and is all "Because I am one of them."
I'm making this comic sound childish, but it is more along the lines of incredibly smart and fun than childish.

Yeah, Invincible fighting...well, the one where he gets really fucked up after he finds out the truth about certain things is a ridiculously bloody, emotional brawl.

This is like, after a full year of stories about father and son fighting crime together. Everything gets turned upside down!

Invincible is pretty good. It has just the right balance cartoony fun and attempted filicide. Even if Kirkman, the guy who writes it, is prone to long exposition on the part of his characters.

Kirkman plot constructor:
1. Comedy 2. Action! 3. Comedy 4. Dramatic tying together of plot 5. Introduction of new awesome characters 6. Action! 7. 3 pages of straight up monologue as the main characters express everything that's been on their minds this entire time.

Before I read Invincible, I didn't know about the man with the scar who runs the world.

I dunno, man. I remember him saying that he could control the sales of books in domestic markets and maybe international ones, too. But that might be his superpower instead of a government-granted ability. I also enjoyed that he was becoming knowingly addicted to teleportation despite its tremendous cost to the taxpayers.
Also, Atom Eve is the Betty Cooper of Image Comics.
