Mildly interesting aside, Bill Nye got his original show deal because he was an assistant to Christopher Loyd on the live action segments of the Back To The Future cartoon.

Have you got a problem with that?

Bill Nye was like my surrogate father during the hours of daytime t.v. programming.  I even had one of his computer games.  But one of the introductions to an episode (3?) on the new website features Bill talking about sex.  I dunno about you but that shatters my little shrively heart.  And gives me the creeps.

He also says "What? Are you high?" in the intro to Episode 3.   I think Bill Nye just knows that he should cater to the same audience he did earlier and that audience has grown up.   He's always been good at comedy.   He's always been good at helping explain things in lament terms.   If kids are going to hear about sex, I'm fine with it being from Bill Nye.

This is a stupid post.

The schedule is on the website.   But it isn't showing anywhere around Philadelphia which makes me weep.

I remember on some of the shows, he had science-related spoofs of songs that were popular at the time. There was a song called "Air Pressure" that spoofed "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

He had another funny one that was to the tune of TLC's "Waterfalls".

This new show is more adult oriented and focuses on current events but still teaches in Bill Nye's classic way.
