I posted go west earler this year but I feel like posting it again, and though this classic was released in 1990, lets face it, just ast 1980 was pretty much still the 70's, the 1990 is still pretty much the 80's

just look at those eyebrows. Totally 80's.  Also I still can't understand the huge monkey wrench.

I'm sure you all know the song and have seen the video but whatever

Yep, the 80's were fantastic

Originally I was gonna have this be a live concerts post, however the 2nd video was taken down from youtube, though i wish it had stayed up because it really shows off how incredible Steve Winwood is, as the performances sounded almost identical to the recordings, for a moment I had the impression that he was lipsynching, but there were changes in the song that told me otherwise. A crime, they were quite good.

The first is a video from the "Stop Making Sense" tour that the Talking Heads did, which I would kill to see live. The entire concert for which this video is simply a clip for is just absolutely incredible, and shows off just how awesome the Talking Heads were, as Showmen, Musicians, and Artists.

Life During Wartime was probably one of my favorite performances from the concert, with "This Must Be the Place" being a close 2nd ...

And here it is!

I really thought the lead singer would be cooler looking

instead, the vocalist from Simple Minds looks like Tim Robbin's kid with fetal-alcohol syndrome and entirely too high pants, in that classic song made famous to most people I think by "The Breakfast Club"

You may recognize Donnie Wahlberg from this video.

"[My] goal is not to be a superstar," Wahlberg says of his career. "My goal is to be super at what I do."

The New Kids on the Block are so cool that they don't even need a unique theme for their music videos, just a recording of a concert and some crappy stock footage

Thats right, the best part of the "Saw" movies was actually in a boy band when he was younger. Once he got too old to be a part of a boy band he moved onto better things, following in his younger brother Mark's footsteps, he became an actor or something.

Unfortunately, while Mark's career took off, Donnie's receeded, and now, in search of money the new kids got back together this past spring and are planning a WORLD TOUR sometime before this year is over. Chop chop Donnie!

Go west is the best

additionally, gotta give credit to ginger for these painful kidney stones that came out as gems

Kevin Bacon, the single most important human being from the 80's graces this timeless classic that everyone forgot:

I'm only left wondering if it was Nam Jun Paik who did the video for this song
