[Violent Unrest in Allentown]

Well, I just joined the fancy phone club. I eBayed a Chocolate (first revision) and I am quite happy with my purchase thus far. The auction included a USB data cable, which I've used in conjunction with BitPim to add ringtones and wallpapers for free (suck a dead dog's nose, Verizon). Current ringtone: Miles Davis "Gone (Take 4)."  

My only complaint is the weird touch interface. The buttons are like the third revision iPod (just like your first iPod Elmer!) but they seem to be functioning pretty well so we'll have to see how I adjust. Also the Bluetooth in this phone is castrated by Verizon, but that's not the phone's fault.

My only original complaint with it was that it didn't have an infrared port (my old phone did, which made transferring files from phone to computer and vice versa extremely easy), but I bought a bluetooth adapter for my computer and solved that problem.

Actually, there is one more complaint. There are three choices for the shutter sound for the camera, but it cannot be made silent. If the phone is on mute, the shutter noise for some reason goes to the highest volume. Otherwise, it's treated me well. I make my own ringtones, and the sound quality is quite nice.

My iPod was second gen Dan.   Goddamn I miss it.  

I can't bring myself to pay for an expensive phone because I know I'd lose it then.   For me, phones are like sunglasses.   The 5 dollar pair I buy at Kmart will last me for years while the 100 dollar designer ones I'd misplace in a month.

Yup.   I was confused.   The phone you showed looks like it has buttons on the wheel itself, which is like the iPod model after mine.
