I'm ecstatic. I wonder if it's gonna be a 2-hour episode of the TV show just like the first Pokemon movie.

This is the worst fucking idea ever. It wouldn't even have been a good idea when the Simpsons was still funny. In fact, it might have been a worse idea then. Who knows. All I know is this is awful, it's going to be awful. Awful awful AWFUL. God.

I've never been a huge Simpsons fan, but here's my theory about why the movie will be good whether it actually is good or not. I know that doesn't make sense, so allow me to explain.

We have to imagine The Simpsons will be going off the air relatively soon. So, if the movie is good, it will end the long, strange trip with a bang, and fans will be content with it all coming to an end. It would be like one last hurrah.

But, if it sucks, fans will be so angry that they want it to end. They will rise up and say "Stop this madness!" Although, it seems that sentiment already exists among some fans.

So, either way, it will be "good" in the sense that it will make it easier to say farewell.
