The Forums: What Are Those Things Next to Asshat?

Tuesday, September 5th, 2006

Back online and doing fine folks. After a terribly long downtime (explained here), the server is back and better than ever. Dealing with an open source server operating system for six months has increased my knowledge of controlling a website by leaps and bounds. As always, I hope to see more activity on the front page, but we all know how that works out.

The main focus for Space Pirates Ltd. is still the community. Within five minutes of the forums being availiable to the public, there were approximately 3 posts in two different forums. Our veteran forumers are a small flock, but incredibly loyal. This online internet community has lasted longer than most friend circles I’ve had in real life. Impressive or creepy?

My only problem with the forums is Asshat. My opinion is an unpopular one, but I hold still on it.
This forum gets too much attention. In the past I’ve closed Asshat to force usage of the other forums. Yes, I am a Nazi. I think I might want to do it again.

Another standard in my SP content is begging readers for participation on the main page. The offer still stands. If you have an idea for regular content and would enjoy becoming a fixture on the the front page, please let me know via the forums, e-mail or instant message me (AOL) at “buttsmalloy.”
